The Whiskey Sour is one of the time-honored classics of cocktail culture. The drink was first mentioned in writing in the 1862 book “The Bartender’s Guide” by Jerry Thomas – for many the forefather of modern cocktail culture.
With its more than 150 years, the Whiskey Sour is one of the oldest cocktails that are still enjoyed today almost unchanged and still enjoys a great popularity. So if you ever want to feel like a real cowboy, ordering a drink in the saloon in the evening and knocking the prairie dust off your shoulder, the Whiskey Sour is the perfect cocktail for you.

The most common mistake with a whiskey sour is too little foam due to too much ice when shaken. Therefore, rather give 1-2 ice cubes less in your shaker. The ice cream must move to properly whip the egg whites.
