The most famous story about its creation says that it was invented in 1987 in a bar called Confetti’s<\/em> (Florida, USA) by the young bartender Ted “Teddy” Pizio<\/em>. When a guest asked him for the name of the cocktail he didn’t know, Ted was inspired by the springbreak vacationers who were there at the time and their behavior, and without further ado christened his creation with the name he knows today.<\/p>\n A nice story, but its truthfulness may well be questioned.
